You'll love the gorgeous views of Aberdeen typhoon shelter, spot cool plants like Sasagrass and Chinese Cane, watch Black Kites overhead, and peek at a unique Chinese-Italian convent. Aberdeen Tree Walk is close to downtown, just 10 minutes' walk from Aberdeen center. Locals cherish this green oasis as Hong Kong Island's "Backyard Garden." The 2.5km trail follows Aberdeen Reservoir Road, crossing Aberdeen Country Park to Wan Chai Gap exit. Lush with native trees like bell-flowered Rhodoleia and candy-seeded Soft-fruited Ormosia.

Starting from Aberdeen Country Park entrance, follow the shaded path past facilities like Kids Walk, Tree Walk, and PHAB Barbecue Area. Along the catchwater, reach a junction: proceed to Wan Chai Gap or turn right to Aberdeen Reservoirs (Lower). This lush trail holds WWII history, featuring reinforced concrete "Type A" shelters near a pavilion—built by British forces in the 1930s as command posts, quarters, or storage.

Hey, check out Aberdeen Reservoirs in Aberdeen Country Park – there's an Upper and Lower one! The Lower was built in 1890 for a paper factory, but the gov bought it in 1929, added the Upper, and spruced both up by 1932. Hop off at Yue Kwong Road, stroll up Reservoir Road through shady woods, and you'll hit the gorgeous dam with cool historic bridge and valve house – super fun to explore!
