The short, family-friendly Chuen Lung Family Walk (just 0.5 km) winds through a barbecue site near the village entrance, featuring unique flora like Brisbane Box, Shiny-leaved Prickly Ash, poisonous Divaricate Strophanthus, and Sandpaper Vine. A scenic viewpoint offers panoramic vistas of Tsuen Wan, Tsing Yi, and Lantau Island. The trail ends amid bamboo groves, making it ideal for all ages. The Rotary Park Nature Trail offers an ideal family-friendly escape into nature, starting near barbecue areas for easy access. Shaded by lush woodlands, the humid path attracts fascinating insects like long-antennaed Owlflies (not true dragonflies) hiding in bushes, plus occasional Dung Beetles. In early spring, vibrant red Chekiang Machilus leaves delight the eye. The scenic lookout reveals sweeping southern views: Steep Island, Lamma Island, Tsing Yi, and distant Victoria Peak with Mount Davis.

Nestled in Rotary Park, the Tai Mo Shan Family Walk is a gentle, stone-paved loop through lush forest, easily completed in under 30 minutes. Seasonal magic awaits at the viewpoint: clear days unveil stunning Tsuen Wan and Tsing Yi skylines, while misty ones create an ethereal fairyland of veiled vistas. Ideal for families, it showcases Hong Kong’s native trees—spring brings blooming, insect-repelling Schima (beware its toxic bark), and winter paints Sweet Gum leaves in vibrant yellow-to-red hues.

Kick off at Tai Lam Forest Track near Twisk Campsite, climb gently 1.5km to scenic views of Tai Mo Shan and Tsuen Wan. Follow shaded Lin Fa Shan path, spotting old wolframite mining pits—stay safe, avoid shafts. Descend to deserted Lin Fa Shan School, then detour to Shek Lung Kung viewpoint for stunning Rambler Channel, Tsing Ma, and Ting Kau Bridges. Finish steep downhill across catchwater to Tsuen King Circuit.
