Nestled along the Pinglin–Toucheng–Jiaoxi border, the trail descends from Shipai—the 59-km high point of Beiyi Highway—following the Houdongkengxi River valley to Wuqifeng Scenic Area. Spanning roughly 6.7 km, it splits into three parts: Shipai to Shangxin Garden (2 km), the scenic and most beloved Shangxin Garden to ancient trail’s north end (3.1 km), and the final 1.6 km to Wufeng Road. Well-preserved skids and skidways line the path, offering sweeping views of Jiaoxi Township and the winding Beiyi Highway below.

The main transportation route between Qingyao Freshwater Hall (now Taipei) to Kamalan Hall (now Yilan). Taman South Road was an important economic tea road during the Qing Dynasty. Early adopters sought to grow tea in the mountains, and later came to Taiwan to start trading in Hong Kong. Tea became the main export product of that era, and influenced the government to encourage Liu Ming to travel Taiwan along this mountain path and open up the huge road to Yilan. Today, the South Road of Amalan is also known as the “Tawlan Special Road”, from Wanhua, Liucheong Plow to Deep Dung, Big Stone Quay through Ping Forest, Giant Slope, Big Stone Sign to Yilan Jiao Stream or Tau Cheng, including the Existing Ancient Trails and Running Ma Walk. This area includes the Happy Horse Trail. It is the “Tawlan Ancient Trail”

At the top of the station, the towering point of the Big Stone Prefectural Rest Park overlooks the Lanyang Platanwan and the Pacific Ocean. From the Martyrs Monument on North Ike Road to the observation deck, along the way, insects and birds chirping, trees and trees are smooth, and the walking paths are smooth, and the old and the old ones are pleasant. The panoramic view of the Yamagata is unique and resembles Mount Fuji, hence the name “Jiaoxi Mountain Fuji”. The trail slowly climbs and grows along Taiwan's Shaohnan, Cinder Stone, Qinggang Lishe and Qinggang Lishe. After reaching the ridge, the view is wide open, overlooking the coast of Yilan, Gueshan Island, and overlooking the Yangtze Triangle and the Yingziling Mountains. On the way, you will pass through tangled thickets of mangroves and then transfer to a comfortable forest path to climb to the top. Return to the scenic Bao Line, where you can go down the mountain for a taste of urchin chicken, or head to Jiaoxi Hot Spring Park for free foot relaxation.
