The family-friendly Tai Mei Tuk Walk, perfect for all ages and easily reached by public transport, loops 1 km around the hill in under an hour. Enjoy stunning overlooks of Plover Cove Reservoir—Hong Kong’s pioneering sea-enclosed reservoir, built 1960–1968 with 170 million cubic metres capacity, later raised in 1973 to 230 million. Four scenic viewpoints reveal the vast reservoir, Ting Kok, the grand Pat Sin Leng peaks, refreshing sea breezes, and playful Chinese zodiac directional signs—spot yours!

Pat Sin Leng, a storied mountain range in Hong Kong’s Northeast New Territories, draws hikers with its dramatic scenery and rich history. Sharing Wilson Trail Section 10, the Nature Trail climbs steep stone steps to Bride’s Pool Road. Though demanding, shaded paths and cooling breezes make it enjoyable. It overlooks Plover Cove Reservoir—once a Tang Dynasty pearl bay, now the world’s first marine reservoir—plus the poignant Spring Breeze Pavilion, honoring two teachers lost in the tragic Pat Sin Leng wildfire, offering sweeping views of Tolo Harbour and distant Ma On Shan.

Chung Pui Tree Walk is a short, circular 0.25 km trail beside Brides’ Pool Road. It introduces 11 tree species, including Chinese Tallow Tree, Syzygium levinei, and Chinese Hackberry. Situated at the foot of Hsien Ku Fung near Plover Cove Reservoir, the walk offers beautiful reservoir views while educating visitors about diverse local trees.
