Sai Kung, Hong Kong’s lush “backyard,” shines along the gentle Wong Shek Family Walk beside Wong Shek Pier. Easy undulating paths with ample benches lead past stone steps to sweeping vistas of Ko Tong Hau, To Kwa Peng, Long Hill, Long Harbour, Grass Island, Ko Lau Wan, and Wan Tsai Peninsula. On clear days, the relaxed vibe comes alive with boats and sailboards dotting the lively coast, blending mountain and sea in vibrant harmony.

The 230m circular Tai Tan Tree Walk begins along Pak Tam Road, next to Wong Shek Tree Walk. It loops around a barbecue area, picnic spot, and nearby campsite. Seventeen common trees line the path, with panels explaining species like Myrobalan and Ivy Tree, plus early afforestation stars Brisbane Box and Taiwan Acacia.

Nestled in Sai Kung East Country Park, the 410-metre Wong Shek Tree Walk links Wong Shek Family Walk to Pak Tam Road and lies close to Tai Tan Tree Walk. Twelve informative panels highlight everyday rural trees like Red Machilus, Rough-leaved Holly, and Aporusa.
