This large circular hike around Gernsbach combines impressive natural experiences with cultural highlights. The route offers deep views of the Murg Valley, extensive views of the Black Forest and the Rhine Valley as well as varied forests, near-natural waters and distinctive rock formations. Eberstein Castle and Merkur set special accents. Thanks to good signs, orientation is easy, supplemented by several places to stop for refreshments.

This varied hike through the steep slopes of the Murgtal combines nature, history and regional legends. Stories from the region are told along various stations, including Count's Jump, Eberstein Castle and a historic ore mine. The tour is also suitable for families, but requires fitness due to the sometimes steep climbs.

This hiking trail covers a total of 44 kilometers from the center of Baden-Baden to the Geroldsauer Valley with its narrow gorges and rushing streams. Along the way, hikers experience a colorful natural kaleidoscope with varied landscape impressions. The route is divided into four stages of between five and eleven kilometers, which can be completed individually or in combination, depending on fitness and mood.
