This varied hike starts with a demanding climb and then leads across a quiet high plateau that runs partly through Switzerland. Along the way, vast meadows, magnificent views and forest trails along distinctive terrain edges await you. A special highlight is the Chroobachhütte with its impressive panoramic view of the Hegau volcanic mountains. The varied route leads through vineyards, meadows and forests and offers a varied landscape experience. One section runs across Swiss territory and offers beautiful views of the Schienerberg and the Biber Valley.
The Hegau volcano tour offers unique views of the region's distinctive volcanic cones and historic castle ruins. When visibility is good, the view extends as far as the Alps and Lake Constance. The varied route combines nature experience with culture and leads through species-rich lean grasslands and protected landscape areas.
