A very exciting tour that shows everything that the Danube region has to offer: picturesque viewpoints, rugged rock falls, varied forests, caves, a castle, open landscapes and the Danube can be crossed at a ford using stepping stones.
This Danube Wave hiking trail leads through deeply cut valleys, rolling hills and idyllic deciduous forests and rewards you with impressive views from the Old Mountain. Along the route, natural springs that were once used by flocks of sheep invite you to take a refreshing break. The varied landscape makes this tour a special natural experience. Due to several steep climbs and descents, good fitness and sure-footedness are required.
This premium hiking trail leads wildly and romantically through the Gutenstein-Thiergarter rock labyrinth and lives up to its name Donaufelsengarten. There are some steep climbs along the way, which are rewarded with magnificent views of the Danube Valley and impressive rock formations. Almost half of the route is on narrow trails and trails and provides a particularly natural hiking experience.
