This tour shows the Black Forest from its gently hilly side. With a high proportion of trails, the trail leads in a variety of forests, along forest edges and out into open landscapes. Wonderful meadow valleys, pastures and wide views, particularly of the northern Black Forest, characterize the hiking experience. Well-placed rest areas invite you to enjoy the quiet corners and beautiful views in peace and quiet.

This varied hiking trail lives up to its name: water accompanies the entire route in the form of streams, springs, ponds, reservoirs and impressive waterfalls. The tour takes you along the watershed between the Rhine and Danube and through pristine gorges. While many sections are easy to walk on, the gorges require sure-footedness and good footwear.

Around Gutach, this premium trail leads through varied forests and valleys. A number of viewpoints, idyllic forest meadows and the typical Black Forest cultural landscape characterize the round trip. Sufficient rest options and restaurants in the middle and at the end of the route round off the pleasant hiking experience.
